This collection of carefully selected literature represents gems of traditional Scottish music. A wide variety of jigs, reels, hornpipes, strathspeys, airs and ballads are arranged for flute and whistle. All pieces are written in the keys of D, G or A (with related modalities) to accomodate the range of fingerings available for simple system flutes, whistles and Boehm-style concert flutes. Both an ornamented and unornamented version of each tune is included in the flute score along with guitar chords. The collection is comprised of eleven performance sets with piano accompaniments.
