Wheat germ, whole wheat, peas, beans, so-called enriched flour, brown rice, bagels, egg yolks, fish, legumes, liver, peanuts, peas, pasta, pork, poultry, rice bran, wheat germ, pasta, whole grains, asparagus, brewer’s yeast, broccoli, cereals, Brussels sprouts, dulse, kelp, nuts, oatmeal, oranges, cauliflower, potatoes, plums, dried prunes, raisins, spirulina, watercress, all meats are all good sources of vitamin B1.

Magnesium

What does it do? Magnesium is needed for bone, protein, and fatty acid formation, making new cells, activating B vitamins, relaxing muscles, clotting blood, and forming ATP—the energy the body runs on. Insulin secretion and function also require magnesium.

Where is it found? Nuts and grains dark green vegetables, fish, dairy products, fish, meat, seafood; also apples, apricots, avocados, bananas, blackstrap molasses, brewer’s yeast, milk, brown rice, cantaloupe, dulse, figs, garlic, grapefruit, green leafy vegetables, kelp, lemons, lima beans, millet, nuts, peaches, black-eyed peas, salmon, sesame seeds, soybeans, tofu, torula yeast, watercress, wheat and whole grains
