Saint Mark is shown with Saint Peter in Rome, recording the teaching of Saint Peter, as it is described in the Book of Acts. The classical temple architecture of the 'frame' locates the scene in Rome. The symbols of Mark, at the top of the window, are the winged lion, with the pen and scroll.
