The Twelfth
Sunday after Pentecost
Selected
Readings
The problem is that for many people, believing in God is not much
different than believing in UFO’s or the Loch Ness monster. Just believing that there is a God is not
going to get us anywhere. The Bible
reminds us that even the devil believes in God. Faith is what we get from God.
Lindy Black
He who chooses the beginning of a road chooses the place it leads to. It is the means that determine the end.
Harry Emerson Fosdick
Luther Quote of the Day
I believe that I cannot by my own understanding or
effort believe in Jesus Christ my Lord, or come to him. But the Holy Spirit has called me through
the Gospel, enlightened me with his gifts, and sanctified and kept me in true
faith.
