ALL SAINTS
SUNDAY
Selected
Readings
Keep in mind that our community is not composed of those who are
already saints, but of those who are trying to become saints. Therefore let us be extremely patient and
forgiving of each other’s faults and failures.
Mother Theresa
The question for
the child is not
“Do I want to be
good?” but
“Whom do I want
to be like?”
Bruno

Luther Quote of the Day
When Christians call themselves holy after Christ, this is not
arrogance; it is honoring and praising God.
We do not praise the malodorous holiness of our own works but His
Baptism, Word, grace, Spirit, which we do not have of ourselves; He gave them
to us.
The October 2006 issue of
The Virginia
Lutheran
is available in the Narthex.
