The First Sunday of Christmas

Selected Readings

Family loves and loyalties have their life and place under the higher love and loyalty to God.

The most important lesson parents can teach their children is how to get along without them.

Luther Quote of the Day

Fear of God and confidence in Him must stand side by side, and we must pass through both, that a man may not be too presumptuous and trust in    himself.   This is one of the reasons God so severely tries the saints.

EPIPHANY CELEBRATION

Friday at 7:00 p.m.

We continue our celebration of the birth of our Lord through the twelve days of Christmas, with our Christmas Celebration concluding with the Service of Evening Prayer on the Eve of the Epiphany, THIS Friday, January 5 at 7:00 p.m.  Traditionally, the visit of the Magi and their worship of the Christ Child is commemorated on this night, so the three kings will make their appearance to Mary, Joseph, and the baby.  Following the Service, we will “follow the star” to the Nielsen Room for the burning of the greens and an Epiphany party with king’s cake and wassail.

Thank You

Dear Muhlenberg Family,

We want to thank everyone for your outpouring of affection and for all the many remembrances you have given to us.  We are blessed to be part of the faithful Muhlenberg family.  May our ministry together continue to be a blessing for all.  Thank you and God’s blessings on each of you,

Pastor Dave+, Pastor Joe+,

Don, Diane & Linda
