THE BAPTISM OF OUR LORD

Selected Readings

Baptism is God's Wardrobe;

in Baptism we put on Christ;

there we are invested,

appareled in Christ.

 John Donne

In baptism, the direction is indicated rather than the arrival.

 Frederich Rest

Luther Quote of the Day

Baptism signifies that the old Adam in us is to be drowned by daily sorry and repentance, and perish with all sins and evil lusts; and that the new man should daily come forth again and rise, who shall live before God in righteousness and purity forever.

Thank You

Thank YOU Muhlenberg!

YOU got me!  I am extremely blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful, fun-loving, wacky, wild West Virginians and western Virginians.  You made my 50th an event I will always remember (how could I forget!).  Thank YOU for all of your kindness, thoughtful gestures, cards, gifts and hilarity (at my expense, of course!).  Special Thanks to the WAM cooks, servants and birthday conspirators!

Pastor Joe+

WOW!  What a great Birthday Party for Pastor Joe — 193 people attended the surprise event at WAM Wednesday evening. Thanks to your generosity, we have $620.00 to give to the Building Fund. See you next week at WAM (when we’ll celebrate all January birthdays)!
