The Fifth Sunday
after Epiphany
Selected
The end of the Christian life is not simply to do
good, or to get good.
It is just doing what God wills,
whether that be winning or losing,
suffering or recovering,
living or dying.
Henry
Drummond
The reason
for the call is not to say to Peter, “Buck up, little buddy, you're not so bad,”
but rather, “Stop being afraid now. We have work to do.”
Luther Quote of the Day
God creates out of nothing. Therefore, until a man is nothing, God can
make nothing out of him.
Scout Pancake Breakfast
Enjoy pancakes and sausage
prepared and served by the scouts of Muhlenberg THIS MORNING starting at 8:30 a.m. in the MAC. There is no charge;
you may make a donation to help support Scout activities.

Scouts Assist
with Worship
Thanks to our scouts for assisting with the 8:00 and
11:00 services this morning. Scouting
teaches our youth to be upstanding members in our community. By planting these seeds early through
Scouting, we hope they carry over to adulthood.
Any adult or youth interested in Scouting, please contact Jim Doyle at
574-0273.
“Walking Together by Faith”
New Member
Inquiry Classes
Begin TODAY
We invite visitors and friends to journey with us as
we explore what it means to be a Christian, a Lutheran, a follower of Jesus and
a member of the Muhlenberg family. We
will meet after worship at 12:15 p.m. for lunch and conversation TODAY and February 11. A daytime retreat will be held on Saturday,
February 17. New Members will be
received on Sunday, February 18, and there will be a new member luncheon that
day.

Who do you think will win Super Bowl XLI? The game will be decided on the field but
here at Muhlenberg for our SUPER BOWL II, we are collecting kitchen supplies (plates, mugs,
flatware, pots, mixing bowls, dishcloths)—they
don’t have to be new, just in good condition.
Place them in the barrel of the team you think will win!
Pictorial & Basic Directories
Look for one with Your name
Pick up your copy of the pictorial
directory in the back of the Nave. Basic

the camera, so every family should get a new directory. A limited number of unbound pictorial
directories are available for purchase ($4).
Please stop by or call the church office.
Directories
are labeled, so please pick up only your family’s copy.
