The Third Sunday after Pentecost

Selected Readings

Forgiveness is unconditional or it is not forgiveness at all.  Forgiveness has the character of “in spite of,” but the righteous ones give it the character of “because.” (must become something first).

Tillich

To forgive is to set a prisoner free

and discover that the prisoner was you.

Lewis B. Smedes

Luther Quote of the Day

Forgiveness is God's command.

Special VBS Presentation

During the 9:30 liturgy, our VBS children and their teachers will present a program of the songs they learned this week at “The GREAT BIBLE REEF”.  We thank the children for sharing some of their experience with the congregation.

Blessed FATher’s Day

For all fathers and for those who love and provide for children, we give thanks today.  True father-hood is a vocation—a holy calling—through which the very love of God is glimpsed.  We rejoice in the gift of fathers and the Muhlenberg community wishes them all a most blessed day.
