Luther Quote
of the Day
You shall not kill.
What does this mean?
We are to fear and love God so that we do not hurt our neighbor in
any way, but help him in all of his physical and bodily needs.
Small Catechism, 1529

Today at Muhlenberg
Special Prayer
in Worship
today
“Are
any among you suffering? They should
pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise…The prayers
of the righteous are powerful and effective.” (James 5:13, 16)
Here at Muhlenberg we have been striving to be a
people at prayer during worship, praying for the Church, the world, our
community, for those we love and other intentions. We know that on any given Sunday, many of us may
be carrying personal wounds or joys that could be addressed by a word of
personal prayer.
Mindful of
this need and our call to be a praying people, we invite individuals to join us
TODAY and on the third Sunday of each month during the
distribution of the Eucharist to come into the Caring Corner before or after
communing for a brief word of personal prayer.
The pastor who is not presiding will meet with you privately, hear your
prayer concern and offer a brief personal prayer for you and/or your loved one.

Thank
You
Thank you for the many acts of kindness shown to me
and my family during my recent surgery.
The food, cards, prayers shared, visits and phone calls were all greatly
appreciated. One of my cards said,
“Friends are like angels.” I felt
surrounded by both!
Thanks and
Peace,

On
average, about twice a month the need arises for a meal to be provided for a
meeting at church. These
meetings typically require someone to arrange for food
for a small group and then clean up. Thanks to
