Holiday Sale & Extravaganza

Saturday, November 17, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come to this special day for shopping, food and music. All proceeds for the sale will benefit the Community Resource Center and agencies serving people in need of holiday gifts, household and personal items. For additional information, see the announcement posted on the bulletin board.

Simon Evening of Giving

Private shopping at Valley Mall on Sunday, November 18, 6-9 pm.  Proceeds to local charities / non-profits.  Tickets $10 per person.  Contact Sheri Hartzler, Patchwork Pantry board member, at 574-4877 (day) and 433-0564 (evenings / weekends) for tickets.  $7 of your purchase goes to Patchwork Pantry, the other $3 to the Simon Youth Foundation.  Ticket stub drawing for prizes goes on all evening.  No need to be present to win.

Roots & Wings Workshop

“Strengthening the home

as a place for faith formation.”

The Virginia Synod Roots & Wings team is offering a workshop December 1 at St. Paul, Strasburg.  The purpose is to assist congregations in strengthening their ministry with families from pre-birth  fifth grade.  The focus will be the Four Keys: 1)  Caring Conversation, 2) Family Rituals and Traditions, 3) Devotional Practices, 4)  Family Service projects. The workshop is open to parents, grandparents, Godparents, teachers, and all faith nurtures anyone who loves children.  If you are interested in attending, pickup a brochure on the desk in the Narthex or contact Diane Bayer.

 

 

Divorce Care

Support group meets Tuesday nights, 7:00-9:00 pm in the Campus Room, through January 29, led by Counselor and Muhlenberg member Amy Ghaemmaghami.   For more info., contact Amy (433-8377).  Childcare provided.
