Each day 2,300 missing
children are reported to local police and entered into the Federal
Bureau of Investigation's National
Crime Information Center
computer system. The National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children (NCMEC) is dedicated
to help recover these
missing children and prevent other children from becoming victims of
abduction and sexual exploitation.
