The Matrix MR800 metronome has extra features for a metronome in this price range. The MR800 will accent beats or will give a straight click. The volume of this metronome is the loudest available. Sound of the metronome is a loud click with a clave tone - accenting is a bell tone which can be turned off. Tempo is easy to set as the dial is easy to turn. The swinging lights make it the best visual tools. A flip out  metal stand lets you place the metronome almost on any surface. This metronome does not have a volume control... if you need a volume control with all of the identical features plus 3 octaves of pitches,  please view the Matrix Mr600.

Metronome Stand - will keep your metronome/tuner & pens off your music stand, allowing page turning  and prevents items from falling.

Metronome Help:

Not sure which model  you need? There are many models  to pick from and it depends what you are using the metronome for. If you need a metronome for music purposes, any model  will work well, but there are some with more features than others. Below are a few tips to help you choose a model.

Matrix manufactures a very dependable metronome at a good price. The Mr 500 is one of the best buys as it has a loud click and is very simple to operate, includes a led light & an earphone. The Mr 600 metronome  is one of the loudest models with a volume control, 6 lights that swing like a pendulum, beat accenting, and great tuning features- includes earphone. The  Mr 550  is a digital metronome with an lcd display. This model also has  loud volume and is our least expensive metronome with volume control, accenting features, tone generation, and includes an earphone. The Cherub WSM001 Metronome easily fits  in a pocket for marching, golf swings, exercise, dog training, running,  therapy, etc. and includes accenting and tuning features

Need a loud metronome... the loudest are the Wittner MT 70 , Matrix  Mr600,  and Seiko Sq70 are our loudest.  Need a very loud metronome -- for chorus, band, orchestra, large groups... look at the MetroAmp packages.

Quartz and keywound models  are a little easier to use than digital models, as you can dial the tempo quickly with a quartz model  - a digital model  requires pressing a button till you get to the tempo. -  Look at MatrixSeiko and the Wittner Mt70  for great quartz models at a low price.

Digital Metronomes have many features and will increment the the tempo by one beat at a time. With a digital metronome you can obtain  the tempos 60,61,63,64... etc. Quartz and keywound models use musical tempos to determine the increments.

The keywound metronomes with a swinging pendulum let you see the motion of the beat. The bell models will also accent the first beat with a bell sound. The keywound models give the most natural sound of all the metronomes and are very pleasing to the ear. The Taktell Mini is a great metronome for portability, but the sound is louder on the Taktell Piccolo or Standard Models. Using the keywound models is simple and with winding the key about 8 -12 times the sound should last from 20 to 30 minutes. The plastic standard models are identical to the standard wood model... except for the case which is wood. The wood is made from a composite wood and then finished with walnut, mahogany, or black finishes.

For exercise, physical therapy, dog training, or golf swing... our most popular model  is the Seiko DM50 Clip On.

Confused, or not sure which metronome you need - call 800 586-3876 and we will try to help you.
